This mosaic was designed for a University parking facility as part of a Percent For Art program (see below). It is available for purchase. The mosaic will be built of stone, marble, glass cakes and either silver leaf used inside glass (interior location) of silver quartzite (exterior location).

Percent For Art
Kessler Studios has participated in national calls for artists for Percent For Art programs for many years. We have been short-listed many times and selected as the finalist as well. Hundreds of artists send slides & resume in response to the initial announcement. From those, 4 or 5 are short-listed and paid to present a design suggestion. One of those offerings is then commissioned. The works that are not selected by the Percent For Art client are then available for commission elsewhere, as is the case for this design.
