This mosaic was originally designed for a University Medical Sciences Building, as part of a Percent For Art program (see below). The design is available for commission. Materials used would include stone, marble and glass smalti.

- Kessler Studios has participated in national calls for artists for Percent For Art programs for many years. We have been short-listed many times and selected as the finalist as well. Hundreds of artists send slides & resume in response to the initial announcement. From those, 4 or 5 are short-listed and paid to present a design suggestion. One of those offerings is then commissioned. The works that are not selected by the Percent For Art client are then available for commission elsewhere, as is the case for this design.
